Real Madrid set to sign Kepa in January

01 Dec 2017

Real Madrid are set to agree on a €20 million deal for Athletic Bilbao goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga, according to MARCA. Kepa’s current deal with Athletic Bilbao expires next summer but Madrid will not wait to sign the goalkeeper as a free agent and will spend those €20 million instead after Keylor Navas and Kiko Casilla’s recent struggles.

It seems that Madrid want to salvage the season and it makes sense for them to secure Kepa’s signing as soon as possible, even if that means spending €20 million when he could’ve been signed as a free agent.
