Real Madrid senior players do not wish to see caretaker coach Santiago Solari given the job fulltime, it has been revealed.
Solari, promoted from Castilla, has been handed the post following the dismissal of Julen Lopetegui on Monday.
While supportive of Solari, the players do not wish to see him given the job long-term, says OKDiario’s chief pundit Eduardo Inda.
Speaking on El Chiringuito de Jugones, Inda stated: “The players are very sympathetic to Solari, but do not want him.
“The best reports do not come from the kids of Castilla and a few months ago they were about to dismiss him from Castilla.
“Is he going to take Madrid out of the crisis now?”
Inda also reveals the players do not want to see former Chelsea boss Antonio Conte arrive.
“The players have been consulted and have the opinion of Chelsea’s Spanish footballers. They have given two names: (Besiktas coach) Guti and (Michael) Laudrup.”
