Real Madrid will begin the defense of their Club World Cup title against the winners of the quarter-final between Al Jazira/Auckland City and the champions of Asia.
The draw for the 2017 edition of the tournament, this year held in the United Arab Emirates, was held on Monday lunchtime in the hosts’ capital of Abu Dhabi.

Together with the representatives of South America, UEFA Champions League holders Real enter the Club World Cup at the semi-final stage.
Their last-four clash is on Wednesday 13 December at 18:00 CEST at Zayed Sports City Stadium in Abu Dhabi, with the 2016 winners awaiting six possible opponents.
Hosts Al Jazira, who qualify as UAE Arabian Gulf League title holders, face Oceania champions Auckland City of New Zealand in a play-off for a place in the quarters, where they will meet one of four Asian clubs in the running to lift the AFC Champions League.
Al-Hilal (Saudia Arabia), Persepolis (Iran), Urawa Reds (Japan) and Shanghai East Asia (China) are the four semi-finalists in Asia’s elite club competition, whose two-legged final is completed on 25 November.
