Real Madrid extend Spanish-record scoring run to 52 games

09 Apr 2017

Pepe rose at the back post in the 51st minute on Saturday to give the Bernabéu crowd something to cheer as they took the lead in the city derby against Atlético. Although the spoils would end up being shared on the day – Griezmann with a late goal for the visitors – the scoring run was extended to 52 consecutive games.

Zinedine Zidane’s side remain on top of LaLiga table, still with a game in hand, and are so far ticking the required boxes for their busy April schedule.
