Despite Pablo Sarabia having 18 months left on his existing contract with Sevilla, the player has yet to renew his deal with the Andalusian side.
Real Madrid continue to monitor the player’s situation and any transfer movement may be conditioned on the outcome of the ongoing situation with Isco and Croatian central player Luka Modric, who was briefly flirting with Serie A side Inter Milan after last year’s World Cup. Sarabia would be the perfect replacement for either player should they elect to leave the Santiago Bernabéu outfit.
The Sevilla player would also be able to count on the support of a current dressing-room heavyweight in Dani Carvajal. Indeed, both players spent the recent Christmas break on holiday together.
Sevilla are apprehensive as Sarabia’s cache increases and no sign of pen being put to paper with a figure of 18 million euros sounding like a bargain in the current transfer conditions.
