Sport report that because of security concerns, there will be extra safety measures taken.
Both Real Madrid and Barcelona will be put in one hotel ahead of the game. However, they will not be in each other’s way – each team will live in a separate wing of the hotel.
Both squads will be taken to the stadium in unmarked buses with the police escorting them. And there will be just around 600 meters between the hotel and the stadium.
All this is because of the Catalan protests. Every major Spanish outlet have painted the picture of complete chaos happening in Catalonia on December 18.
Even though, the group that is largely responsible for any potential disturbance, the ‘Tsunami Democratic’, have denied that they are going to prevent El Clasico from being played at Camp Nou.
They made a public announcement about it earlier.
“Tsunami have never said we wanted to block or suspend the match. On the contrary, we want to invite everyone to see it and to follow the game around the world.”
