With six months having passed since Marco Asensio suffered a serious knee injury against Arsenal in Washington, the first signs of reintegration into the Real Madrid side have come with the forward being added to the Los Blancos Champions League list.
Asensio has been taking part in individual training sessions to aid his recovery, and with Alvaro Odriozola moving on loan to Bayern Munich, a space has thus become available in the Real Madrid squad without the need to make any adjustments.
The next step for the 24-year-old is to join the team, though there is no rush from anyone at Real Madrid.
Zinedine Zidane is aware that Asensio has to make a full recovery, and will not put any pressure on the player.
The plan is to reintegrate him into the group in March, so he is available for the decisive stretch of the season.
