11 Mar 2021

According to AS, Raphael Varane has decided to leave Real Madrid in the upcoming transfer window.

The report says the 27-year-old is not seduced by money but wants a new challenge in his career after 10 years with Los Blancos.

The center-back is said to be looking at the Premier League as his next destination with the biggest clubs in England believed to be interested in his services.

With Sergio Ramos’ future also being up in the air, AS says David Alaba, Sevilla’s Jules Kounde and Villarreal’s Pau Torres are considered for strengthening the backline in the summer.

According to Transfermarkt, Varane’s current market value stands at €70m with his contract expiring in 2022.

Since joining Los Blancos from Lens in 2011, the defender has made 352 appearances for the club scoring 17 goals.
