Sergio Ramos picked up a hamstring injury in Spain’s game against Germany and will miss Real Madrid’s upcoming matches against Villarreal, Inter and Alaves.
The Los Blancos captain will try to fully recover and make it for his team’s Champions League match against Shakhtar Donetsk in Ukraine on December 1.
Ramos limped off the pitch in the 40th minute of La Roja’s 6-0 win against the Germans last Tuesday after feeling a crack in the back of his right thigh after playing a long ball.
He immediately fell on the ground as he was aware that it was a muscle issue and that he couldn’t continue, while Spain were already leading 3-0 before half time.
Real Madrid have been defeated in seven of their last eight Champions League games without Ramos in the team, including a 4-1 home loss to Ajax in 2018/19, a 2-1 defeat to Manchester City last season and a 3-2 loss to Shakhtar Donetsk in this campaign.
Los Blancos have a congested schedule too as they face Villarreal, Inter, Alaves, Shakhtar Donetsk, Sevilla, Borussia Moenchengladbach and Atletico Madrid all before Christmas.
