PSG want Casemiro in any Real Madrid deal for Neymar

Paris Saint-Germain have put Neymar on the market and they will not accept an offer worth less than the 220 million euros that they paid for the Brazilian, though there could be another way to reduce the price of the operation, particularly for Real Madrid.

The key would be Casemiro, a player who has been watched by those in Paris for some time, seen as the replacement for Thiago Motta that the club have struggled to find.

Both Leonardo Araujo and Antero Henrique have tracked the Real Madrid man in their roles as sporting director in the French capital, and he remains the top target ahead of Napoli‘s Allan.

The answer from Spain has always been that Casemiro is not up for sale, however his role is less crucial under Zinedine Zidane now than it was before and the potential arrival of Paul Pogba could impact that role even more.

Casemiro was essential to the side that won three consecutive Champions League titles, despite Zidane not selecting him when he first took over from Rafa Benitez.

Zidane is planning changes to renew Real Madrid, meaning a change in playing style and whilst Casemiro is still a useful player to have, he may not be as important as he once was if his transfer plans come to fruition.

The player himself is happy in Madrid, but he would be open to listening to any offers having won it all with Los Blancos.
