Paul Pogba is still desperate to leave Manchester United for Real Madrid this summer, despite being aware that it’s not an easy move to make. He wants to make it happen, but he would see it as a miracle if he was wearing white by the end of the summer.
In England the stories of his departure are finished, though there’s a recognition that he’ll end up at the Santiago Bernabeu sooner or later. His mind hasn’t changed and he’ll still be hopeful that United will become more flexible with their asking price.
But United let this window go by without finding a replacement for the Frenchman, while he repeatedly spoke of his intent to leave. He’s had no doubts about what he wants, but it hasn’t happened.
Pogba has no plans to force things, but he’s happy to make the request again. The emphatic 4-0 defeat of Chelsea to open the Premier League season hasn’t been enough to change his mind, neither has Ole Gunnar Solskjaer‘s promise to style United‘s game around him.
Those in Madrid remain calm, as they are with Neymar too. They’re waiting for the right moment to move and have no plans to spend anywhere near 200 million euros.
Mino Raiola, Pogba‘s agent, has been trying to find a formula to seal the move, and he won’t give up anytime soon. A meeting is planned between him and the club in the coming days in order to make it clear that Pogba wants to play in Madrid.
