Real Madrid have been somewhat reserved in the transfer market of late, but they want to sign a big name this summer.
In particular, Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland are the two that interest Los Blancos the most.
Josep Pedrerol of ‘El Chiringuito’ insists that Real Madrid will sign a star ahead of next season with either Mbappe or Haaland in mind.
“The main objective for Real Madrid next season is to sign Mbappe and if Messi stays at Barcelona this could prove to be very difficult, with PSG probably not allowing him to go,” said Pedrerol.
“The only option is that PSG would not be able to pay the wages of three superstars in Messi, Mbappe and Neymar and in that case Madrid would go in for Mbappe.”
However, the presenter of ‘El Chiringuito’ believes that Real Madrid aren’t willing to pay more than 150 million euros for the French star.
“He [Florentino] won’t stump up a ridiculous sum for Mbappe, he will wait another year and hope that Mbappe won’t renew with the Parisian club,” he claimed.
“Mbappe wants to leave PSG this season and prefers a move to Real Madrid but Real Madrid won’t make an offer until Leo Messi’s future is confirmed.”
If Mbappe is unable to leave PSG in the summer, Real Madrid’s next target will be Haaland.
“Real Madrid are sure that they will make signings at the end of the season,” he added.
“If Mbappe doesn’t come, then they will make moves for Haaland, either one of them will be a Real Madrid player next season,” Pedrerol concluded.
