Real Madrid‘s Friday training session proved far more eventful than anybody had envisaged, with Alvaro Odriozola suffering a broken collarbone.
The Spanish defender was forced to leave the session prematurely after a collision with Vinicius Junior.
The right back was helped away from the pitch at Valdebebas by club doctor Niko Mihic and an initial prognosis is that the collarbone has been damaged.
A footrace between the Brazilian and his teammate ended in a collision and an awkward fall for Odriozola, with it immediately clear that he was in some discomfort.
Real Madrid have since released an official statement confirming the nature of the injury.
“After the tests carried out on player, Alvaro Odriozola, by the Real Madrid medical team, he has been diagnoses with a fracture of the left clavicle,” the statement read.
