Nobody escapes blame at Real Madrid

10 Mar 2020

Real Madrid’s loss to Real Betis came just after a win in El Clasico, but before that there were further defeats to Manchester City and Levante and a draw with Celta Vigo, so the past month has been a disappointing one at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Directors and fans are searching for an explanation, but there isn’t an obvious one.

It seems that everyone is to blame and Zinedine Zidane and the players have accepted responsibility for the poor showing on Sunday night.

There is trust in Zidane‘s work, but blows like this weekend’s still hurt him and hurt his status.

No drastic decisions are being planned and there is still hope that Los Blancos can turn the situation around in the Champions League and in LaLiga Santander, but further setbacks could lead to decisions being taken in the summer.

The focus now turns to the Eibar match on Friday and the trip to face Manchester City next midweek.
