Nike agree Michael Jordan-style sponsorship deal with Cristiano Ronaldo

10 Nov 2016

Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly signed a lifetime contract with Nike, something which Michael Jordan and also signed up to in the past.

Nike confirmed the news on their website today, “The successful partnership between Nike and Ronaldo will continue well into the future with a new, long-term contract.”

“This is my brand”, said Cristiano Ronaldo who recently also signed a long-term contract extension at Real Madrid.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s new Real Madrid contract will reportedly earn him €23.6m annually and his Nike sponsorship deal will eclipse that according to Spanish media.

The 31-year-old will earn a whopping €24m a year from Nike, which will take his yearly earnings from Real Madrid and Nike alone close to €50m. That doesn’t take into account earning from his own brand and all his other sponsorship deals.
