On Thursday it will be 75 years since Ferenc Puskas made his debut for the Hungarian national team, in which he scored his first international goal against Austria, and now a musical narrating his life has been made and directed by Vajk Szente.
The Puskas musical brings his life and professional career to life and it pays tribute to one of the greatest ever Hungarian athletes.
He was part of the best Hungarian team of all time, the ‘Golden Team’ and played an influential part of Real Madrid‘s own history as a club.
The Musical details Puskas’ life from 1937 when he was 10 years old to the final of the European Cup in 1960 against Eintracht Frankfurt.
Laszlo Szabo, the producer of the musical, has given a press conference announcing the project and detailing just why the decision was finally made to mark Puskas‘ life and impact on the sport.
“Each and every Hungarian in this world is moved by Puskas and the history of the ‘Golden Team’,” Szabo stated.
