Marco Asensio came on as a second-half substitute for Real Madrid against Valencia, playing in his first match in 330 days and after almost 11 months on the sidelines, and he capped it off with a historic moment by scoring a goal 30 seconds after coming on.
It was some goal at that: a perfect volley from a Ferland Mendy cross to leave Jasper Cillessen powerless in the Valencia goal.
Asensio is back and he’s ready to help Real Madrid fight for the LaLiga Santander title.
