There was a simple answer from new Real Madrid coach, Julen Lopetegui, when he was asked if he would ever coach Barcelona.
A former player there, it’s probably put paid to him ever working for the Catalans again.
“I’m already training the best team in the world,” he said to Cadena SER.
Vinicius Junior hasn’t made quite the impact expected at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu, to the point where it’s even being considered to loan him back to Flamengo in January, but Lopetegui is calm over the youngster’s situation.
“He is a first-team player and we have a lot of confidence in what he can give us,” the coach continued.
Though his sacking from the Spain job will have left a sour taste, Lopeteguidoesn’t hold any grudges.
“I will say hello [to Luis Rubiales] because I am an educated person,” he added.
