Julen Lopetegui has it clear in his head that Real Madrid need to sign a top striker this summer.
He is happy with the work from Benzema and Bale during training but feels that they need more fuel going forward in what will be a long season.
A quick look back to what happened at the start of last season shows that what Lopetegui is thinking has some sense as with Bale injured until November, Madrid let slip a lot of points in the league through a lack of goals.
Then they still had Ronaldo, who began the season off colour, and while now the club feels that Benzema and Bale can step up a level, they would prefer to have another danger man.
On the US tour they will have Borja Mayoral and Raul de Tomas, two strikers with potential but they are not yet ready for a prominent role in the team while Vinicius also is only 18 and a player for the future.
