Julen Lopetegui is confident of keeping his job as Real Madrid coach after speaking with Florentino Perez following the shock 2-1 defeat at home to Levante.
Florentino met with captain Sergio Ramos immediately after the loss, before seeing Lopetegui to analyse the current problems.
Lopetegui’s feeling after the meeting is that he will continue as coach, or at least for the immediate future.
While the president did not offer any assurances or confirm his commitment to Lopetegui, the coach left feeling positive that he will remain in his job.
Despite this, there has not been a definitive decision made yet and Perez is still gathering opinions on whether or not to keep Lopetegui in his job or to dismiss him.
