Real Madrid are reported to have made contact with Sadio Mané’s agent Bjorn Bezemer, according to French outlet Le10Sport, who go onto add that luring the Senegalese forward away from Anfield would be a costly operation as the player is has another two and a half years to run on his contract. According to Transfermarkt, Mané, whose contract expires in June 2023, is valued at 150 million euros. Le10Sport report that Madrid see Mané, who came fourth in this year’s Ballon d’Or as the prefect replacement for Gareth Bale, who could leave the club this summer.
Real Madrid‘s interest in Mané isn’t new – Zidane is a big fan of the player. Little under a year ago the club put the feelers out to try to gauge whether Mané might be looking to move on and whether a deal could be feasible. That interest cooled in May when Mané gave an interview to the club’s official magazine, saying that he is very happy at Anfield and keen to write history with Jürgen Klopp’s team.
