Sweden international Kosovare Asllani has become the first signing in the history of the new Real Madrid women’s team.
Los Blancos are in line to invest in a project that will introduce the club into women’s football this upcoming season.
“Proud to announce that I’ll be the first official signing for Real Madrid/CD Tacon,” Asllani posted on Twitter.
“Excited to write history, to help build and be part of this team’s journey from the very start.
“It’ll be a dream to wear the most beautiful jersey in the world starting next season. HALA MADRID.”
The 29-year-old striker had previously played for teams such as Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain.
This summer, Madrid took over newly promoted CD Tacon, who are set to keep their name for the 2019/20 campaign.
