Jovic won’t play for Serbia in September to avoid quarantine

30 Aug 2020

Luka Jovic will not go on international duty with Serbia in September to avoid having to quarantine when he returns to Spain.

If the striker was to play for his country against Russia and Turkey in the Nations League, he would have to miss the start of the LaLiga Santander season due to quarantine rules in Spain.

Neither Luka Modric nor Martin Odegaard are going away with their countries either in the next couple of weeks as they continue preparations for the new season at Valdebebas.
