Benfica defender Ruben Dias has been offered to Real Madrid.
The approach was made by super agent Jorge Mendes, who saw a move to Manchester City for his client fall through before last season’s suspension.
Okdiario says a deal worth €60m had been settled before Europe’s leagues were suspended due to the coronavirus impact. City, since then, have moved on and signed Nathan Ake from Bournemouth.
Meanwhile, Mendes is now in contact with Real in an attempt to drum up a deal for Dias.
Real Madrid are seeking a new centre-half, though not at any price. Coach Zinedine Zidane has expressed interest in Sevilla stopper Jules Kounde.
Dias has long been on the radar of Real, though everything will hinge on Benfica’s valuation.
