Real Madrid are considering bringing back James Rodriguez with the player having sent signals that he would be open to a return to the Spanish capital.

The Colombian is currently loaned out to Bayern Munich until June 30, 2019, with the Bavarians holding a purchase-option and no possible escape for his return.

If in the end the desire of a return by James Rodriguez and Florentino Perez is specified, Madrid should negotiate an agreement with Bayern.

The German club has already expressed its desire to make use of the purchase-option when the loan deal ends, but when the statement was made the situation at Madrid was quite different with Zinedine Zidane still as coach.

Julen Lopetegui believes that James is a more than a profitable player and that he could perform at Madrid.

Before signing the loan deal for two seasons at Bayern, Madrid and James signed a new contract which would end on June 30 2021, two years after the end of the loan period with the Bavarians.

The playmaker had to look for a life away from the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu due to his incompatibility working with Zidane.

The Frenchman thought that the Colombian did not work hard enough and for that reason James was gradually moved away from the team until not playing a single minute in the Champions League finals in Milan and Cardiff, even sitting in the stands for the latter.

Nobody can doubt that the Colombian has had a great season at Bayern and that only injuries prevented him from having a great World Cup with Colombia.
