Hazard plans to return for Madrid derby in February

11 Jan 2020

Eden Hazard is aiming to return from injury in time to play the Madrid derby at the start of February.

The former Chelsea forward has been out of action since picking up an ankle injury during Real Madrid‘s draw with Paris Saint-Germain in November.

While the Belgian is pushing to return as soon as possible, neither he nor the club want him to suffer a relapse in the injury.

That’s why, although an initial return date was set for the Sevilla match on January 18, he’s aiming to come back for the derby with Atletico Madrid on February 1.

Real Madrid‘s top priority is to have him 100 percent fit by the time they take on Manchester City in the last 16 of the Champions League later in February.
