Former Real Madrid goalkeeper Junquera dies aged 73

Former Real Madrid goalkeeper Andres Avelino Junquera has passed away at the age of 73.

Having played for Real Madrid between 1966 and 1975, he won five LaLiga titles, and the Zamora Trophy during the 1967/68 season.

Born in La Felguera, Asturias, he began his career with Langreo in the Segunda division, and at just 20 years of age moved to Los Blancos.

At the end of his career he spent three seasons with Zaragoza and helped them to promotion in 1977/78.

Andres Avelino Junquera, who was the Real Madrid goalkeeper between 1966 and 1975, has died at 73 years of age. He was born in La Felguera (Asturias) in 1946 and, after playing for Langreo, came to Los Blancos in the 1966/67 campaign, where he won five league titles and three cups. In addition, he achieved the Zamora Trophy in 1967/68. Real Madrid feels the pain of his death and offers condolences to his family.
