Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has tested positive for COVID-19, the club announced on Tuesday.
The 73-year-old has no symptoms and is now isolating in the hope that that the infection does not cause any complications.
It should be remembered that Real Madrid regularly conduct PCR tests, and the latest round of tests has shown Florentino Perez to be positive for coronavirus.
Last Saturday, he was present at the Estadio Alfredo Di Stefano for Real Madrid‘s 2-1 defeat against Levante after testing negative in the PCR test on Friday, as was the case for the rest of the directors.
Florentino will now quarantine and be closely monitored by medical professionals in the hope that symptoms will be mild or non-existent.
