Felipe Reyes makes his 1,000th Real Madrid appearance

The clash with Valencia Basket saw Felipe Reyes make his 1,000th appearance for Real Madrid. The captain’s numbers in a Whites’ jersey come spread across 591 League games, 333 in the Euroleague, 39 in the Copa del Rey, 19 in the Super Cup, 16 in the ULEB and 2 in the Intercontinental Cup. Over the course of his 15 seasons, the center has won 19 collective honours and 9 individual accolades. At the end of the second semi-final play-off match against Valencia Basket, Florentino Pérez presented him with a commemorative jersey printed with his name and the number 1,000.

Since making his Real Madrid debut in 2004-05, Reyes has set about becoming a Whites’ legend: 2 Euroleagues, 1 Intercontinental, 6 Leagues, 5 Copas del Rey, 4 Super Cups, 1 Copa ULEB. He has also been named ACB League MVP on two occasions, been picked in the Euroleague best five, won MVP in the League final twice and has been in the domestic best five on four occasions. Reyes also boasts several record figures in the League and Euroleague, including most games played and most rebounds taken, among others.
