The morning after their 4-1 defeat at Valencia, there was further bad news for Real Madrid as it has been confirmed that Fede Valverde suffered an injury to his tibia, also known as the shinbone. The Uruguayan will now face a spell on the sidelines and now won’t travel with his country for their November World Cup qualifiers against Colombia and Brazil.
“Following tests carried out on our player, Federico Valverde, by Real Madrid medical services, he has been diagnosed with a fracture in the posterior tibial bone in his right leg,” a club statement explained. “His recovery will continue to be assessed.”
With this type of injury, a recovery time of around one month is likely. Real Madrid have said they’ll continue to monitor his situation. With Fede Valverde’s injury and with Casemiro tested positive for coronavirus, Zidane will have to invent a new mildfield against Villarreal and Inter de Milan.
