ESPN: Real Madrid planning more player wage cuts

16 Nov 2020

Real Madrid’s finances are not in the best state, with the club planning on more player pay cuts in the near future, reports ESPN.

The coronavirus pandemic is showing no signs of slowing down and as long as fans aren’t allowed in stadiums, the Whites’ finances will continue to be in a precarious position.

Once the percentage is finalized, the club officials are expected to hold talks with captains Sergio Ramos, Marcelo, Raphael Varane and Karim Benzema.

Back in April, Los Blancos reduced the wages of the players – with the team even choosing to forego the bonuses they were entitled to after winning the La Liga.
