Real Madrid academy product Victor Chust will spend the 2021/22 season on loan at Cadiz, with the two clubs having found an agreement for a temporary transfer.
No buyout option is included in the deal for the 21-year-old, as Chust becomes the third centre-back to leave Los Blancos this summer after Sergio Ramos and Raphael Varane.
Chust’s exit means that Jesus Vallejo is now almost certain to be Carlo Ancelotti’s fourth centre-back next season, behind David Alaba, Eder Militao and Nacho Fernandez. A last minute signing cannot be ruled out, though, as the 24-year-old hasn’t entirely convinced at Valdebebas nor on loan and his involvement at the Olympic Games hasn’t helped his cause.
Both Cadiz and Real Betis had shown interest in Chust, who has a market for his services, unlike Vallejo. Los Blancos trust the youngster to play a part in the future, and Ancelotti is a fan of his ability as well.
