Casemiro‘s first goal of 2019/20 came on the first weekend when Real Madrid beat Levante 3-2. In this instance, everybody was focusing on Eden Hazard, who was making his debut, but it was Casemiro that got the third goal.
On January 18, it was Sevilla who suffered at the hands of Casemiro, as he scored a double against Los Nervionenses. The 28-year-old, whose primary concern is to sit back and defend, turned up with the goals when his side needed them.
He is one of the most complete players in Zinedine Zidane‘s squad; he can do everything and he does it well. He scores, gets points, regains possession and wins more headers than most other midfielders. At the moment, he is irreplaceable.
Zidane is aware of Casemiro‘s importance, which is why if he always plays when he is available. In fact, in 2019/20, Casemiro didn’t get a break until matchday 17.
