Carvajal reveals the toughest player he’s had to defend against in his career

27 Aug 2020

When asked who was the winger who has tormented him the most in his career, Dani Carvajal told Esquire Magazine: “Neymar is the attacker who has been the hardest to defend against.

“He is a very elusive player, technically terrific, he goes & finds space, he is going to ask for it, he has a goal in him. It is difficult to mark him.”

Neymar caused Real Madrid quite a bit of trouble during his time at Barcelona and even while facing us in the Champions League as a Paris Saint-Germain player. The Brazilian’s brilliant dribbling ability and technical wizardry has clearly had an impact on Carvajal, who is generally recognized as one of the best right-backs in the world.
