Cartagena ban Real Madrid shirts for return leg against Castilla

27 May 2019

The Segunda B play-offs are currently taking place and Cartagena will have to overcome a 3-1 deficit against Castilla, the Real Madrid B team, if they are to keep alive their dreams of second division football.

As part of their campaign to mount a comeback, the Murcian club have banned Real Madrid shirts from being worn in the home section of their stadium, something that would usually be quite normal for matches at that level.

It is being claimed that this is in response to similar measure put in place at the Estadio Alfredo Di Stefano for the first leg.

However, Alvaro Arbeloa posted a photo on Twitter that showed Cartagena colours in the home end.
