Real Madrid director Emilio Butragueno called for calm after the 2-1 home defeat at the hands of Levante and refused to comment on the future of Julen Lopetegui.
The team have struggled this season especially in attack and their goal drought did eventually come to an end with Marcelo hitting the back of the net in the second half.
“It was a difficult situation, this was a blow and a result that we were not expecting,” said Butragueno.
“We are down, this is a sad moment but I think we need to be calm.
“We started in the worst possible way, but then the team took heart. They showed their merit and didn’t deserve to lose as we had a lot of chances and three times hit the woodwork.”
