Bernabeu turf to be changed ahead of the new season

03 Aug 2017

Real Madrid’s groundsmen are already working on the installation of a new grass surface for next season.

The new field, a mix of natural and artificial grass, is expected to be in perfect condition for August 16, the date of the Spanish Super Cup second leg between Los Blancos and Barcelona.

Set to arrive in refrigerated trucks, the turf will be placed at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu during the night hours to avoid the high temperatures of the day.
