Jaume Lopis, a member of Joan Laporta’s board at Barcelona, has announced his resignation following the departure of Leo Messi.
He addressed the Barca president in an open letter published by Diario Sport in which he accuses him of not doing enough to keep the Argentine.
“You have disappointed me, I thought you were the only one capable of facing Florentino [Perez]. I lack information but surely much more could be done for Messi to stay. There’s a lot of those who stayed.
“Messi was an important patrimony of FC Barcelona.
“We will see when the Super League arrives, if it arrives, and in the meantime, you are strengthening PSG and making it easier for Kylian Mbappe to go to Real Madrid. Florentino’s perfect plan.
“You will go down in history as the president who fired Messi (…)”
As per multiple reports, Kylian Mbappe will leave PSG when Leo Messi will sign for the Parisians. Various sources insist that Florentino Perez is now convinced that Real Madrid will land the French superstar this summer.
