Bale’s agent: Loan move is not going to happen

19 Jun 2019

Gareth Bale will not be leaving Real Madrid on loan move this summer according to the player’s agent.

Real Madrid are keen to offload Bale who has struggled to find top form in recent seasons, as well as being one of the top earners at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu.

His salary at Los Blancos is thought to be a major hurdle for interested clubs which is why a loan move was considered a more realistic option.

Yet Jonathan Barnett, the Welshman’s agent, has fiercely dismissed such talk.

“A loan move is not going to happen,” he told Sky Sports.

“I don’t think he wants to go out on loan, he’s got a lovely life and home in Spain.

“I think it would take something exceptional for him to leave and loans are not on the menu,” he stated.

Madrid have already shelled out 300 million euros on incoming players, including Eden Hazard, making Bale‘s departure a priority, but Barnett is unfazed.

“There’s more chance of me winning at Ascot,” he said.
