Gareth Bale suffered his latest injury during Real Madrid’s 2-2 with Villarreal on Thursday night and he has been ruled out for a period of 10 to 15 days.
The Welshman went for tests on Friday morning and it has been revealed that he has a grade one injury to his left calf.
As such, Bale will miss this Sunday’s home league game against Real Sociedad, next Wednesday’s home Copa del Rey match against Leganes and next Sunday’s league trip to Real Betis.
He might then also be out for the return Copa del Rey clash with Leganes the following midweek, although it’s expected that no risks will be taken in any case and that he’ll also sit out that cup game.
Los Blancos’ next fixture after that will be the home game against Sevilla on January 19, which is in exactly 15 days’ time.
His participation against the Andalusian side will depend on how he progresses and on how he feels.
Also out with injury at the moment are Marcos Llorente, Marco Asensio and Mariano.
With three attacking players now on the injury list, Santiago Solari could turn to Castilla‘s Cristo Gonzalez and to Vinicius Junior for help.
