Gareth Bale’s inability to get game-time at Real Madrid has been used as a joke in BT Sport’s latest “Unlimited Subs” advertisement.
The advert includes many prominent personalities like Man United striker Marcus Rashford and Liverpool defender Trent Alexander-Arnold, with a reporter asking around footballers whether they’d like unlimited substitutions in football matches.
In one point, Alexander-Arnold is seen facetiming Bale, who is enjoying a game of golf in the field.
Alexander-Arnold asks him: “So you might actually get a game now then?”, to which Bale throws away the phone in disgruntled fashion.
