Carlo Ancelotti, who has coached both Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain, is in a good position to discuss their upcoming Champions League tie and he believes that Los Blancos will be a force to be reckoned with, if they beat the Parisians.

The Italian has stated his belief that Madrid will now focus exclusively on the competition, with the side out of the Copa del Rey and 19 points behind Barcelona in LaLiga.

“[Real Madrid] reacted well against Valencia,” Ancelotti told Corriere dello Sport.

“I don’t think they are in crisis.

“The only competition that Real Madrid can now win is the Champions League, so they will focus on that.

“We must be aware of what [Zinedine] Zidane does in the Champions League.

“If they beat Emery [and PSG], it will be difficult to stop them because they have a player in their squad who never wants to lose: Cristiano Ronaldo.”

Nevertheless, the 58-year-old is expecting a close tie between Madrid and PSG.

“PSG have everything to win the Champions League,” said Ancelotti.

“They have Neymar and Mbappe.

“They have more experience and quality than they had last year.

“They are more mature and dangerous.”
