Achraf Hakimi‘s agent, Alejandro Camano, has claimed that Zinedine Zidane is the reason why his client left Real Madrid.
The right-back, a graduate of Los Blancos‘ academy, signed for Inter last week following a two-year loan spell at Borussia Dortmund.
“Zidane is the reason [Achraf] signed for Inter,” Camano told Moroccan media outlet Al Mountakhab.
“Now he has to explain why Achraf left.
“I think returning [to Real Madrid] at the moment isn’t ideal, given the presence of Carvajal.
“I’m sure [Achraf]’s future will be bright after making this step.”
Camano also revealed that Inter boss Antonio Conte played a key role in persuading Achraf to move to Italy.
“Conte was always in contact,” he said.
“He told about the club’s project, and when a coach insists on having you in his team, it means you represent an important part of the club’s project.”
