ACCIONA Cultural Engineering to design the ‘Real Madrid Experience’ at the new Santiago Bernabéu

23 Dec 2021

El Real Madrid has chosen ACCIONA Cultural Engineering to design Real Madrid Experience (RME), which will host the new Bernabéu after renovation.

RME aims to bring the club closer to its fans, citizens, and visitors through an immersive experience that combines culture, sports, gastronomy, and leisure, as well as cutting-edge technology. The experience will be comprised of four complementary spaces totaling 16,000 m2: a museum, a tour, immersive spaces, and the Sky Experience.

The museum is spread out over four floors and covers a total area of 4,250 m2. It will be devoted to the club’s history (emblematic players, Cups, trophies, the basketball team, etc.) as well as football in general, and will include educational and recreational elements. ACCIONA Ingeniera Cultural will create a space with interactive applications and immersive projections to provide visitors with an immersive experience.

The tour will include a walking tour that will allow participants to learn about the stadium’s most iconic spaces.

Sky Experience

The so-called “immersive spaces,” on the other hand, will be a series of areas scattered throughout the stadium where multimedia projections and participatory games aimed at a wide range of audiences will be installed, with the goal of highlighting game technique, tactical intelligence, or collective effort.

Finally, the RME experience will come to a close with Sky Experience. It will house a viewpoint with panoramic views of the city and the Bernabéu playing field and will be located on the panoramic terrace that surrounds the stadium.

RME will become one of Madrid’s most popular destinations for events, recreation, and tourism. Furthermore, the concept of “integral experience” will make the Santiago Bernabéu visit one of the most comprehensive and innovative of those that can be had in the world’s most iconic football stadiums.
