81-88: Real Madrid recover the lead in the battle for the Final Four

27 Apr 2017

Real Madrid made a real statement in their playoff series by downing Darussafaka in Game 3 in Istanbul to move within one victory of the Final Four. This was an extremely important win for the Whites, who responded well under pressure to produce their best against opponents who once again forced them to give their all right until the end. Carroll (21 points) led the Whites’ offense, which ended the game with five players on double-digit scores. There were fine performances from Ayón (18 points, 9 rebounds and a performance index rating of 23) and Doncic (13+8+23) for a Madrid side who regain home-court advantage and this Friday have the opportunity to close out the series.
